The Company Handbook - how we operate, what we stand for, and the standard every job is built to. This is not a casual operation.
We are building a scalable, disciplined construction business targeting $4M+ turnover — striving to be industry leaders in everything we deliver.
We operate with defined process — not improvisation.
Every role is measured. Numbers are reviewed weekly.
In presentation, communication and every finish.
If behaviour does not align with RISE, it does not align with Gorilla.
We do what we say we are going to do, every time. Our word is our foundation.
We lead from the front, setting the example. We do what's right, not what's easy.
We hold the standard under pressure — not what's cheap, but what's right.
We deliver. With clarity, precision and accountability on every job.
Measure twice. Build once.
Every job must protect profit. We price properly, plan properly, execute properly. Waste, rework and poor planning are unacceptable.
We plan before we build. Every job needs a clear scope, detailed budget, realistic programme and identified risks.
Clear with clients and each other. Everyone understands what's included, what's excluded, what variations cost, and where the job stands.
We treat every job like we own it. Protect finishes, think ahead, care about detail. Shortcuts are not tolerated. Escalate early — never hide problems.
We use Buildertrend properly. If it's not in the system, it did not happen. Budgets, schedules, variations and photos are updated weekly.
All purchases require a valid purchase order. Invoices must match exactly. Financial discipline protects margin and cashflow.
No verbal variations. No "we'll sort it later." All variations are documented and approved before work proceeds.
Every role is measured. Margin, programme, cash and quality are reviewed weekly. We manage by data, not emotion.
All roles have defined responsibilities. If you are unsure of your authority, clarify immediately. Click a role to jump to its expectations.

Problems hidden become expensive.
No exceptions. No excuses.
On site, parked, changed and in full PPE before 7:00am — tools in hand and working on the hour. 7:00am is not arrival time. Ten minutes late across a crew is an hour of the client's money.
Swept, bins emptied, offcuts gone, leads coiled, materials stacked square — every day, not just before an inspection. Nobody walks past rubbish here. $300 back-charge if a trade leaves its mess behind.
Before you leave site, one of four goes in: daily log, make-safe, roof or completion report. A day with no report is a day that legally did not happen — no evidence, no defence, no claim.
Anything $500 or over needs an approved PO and a job cost code — no splitting orders to duck it. Under $500 still goes on a Gorilla account against the job. Never a personal card.
Polite, no swearing, no loud music, no smoking on site. Any question about work, dates, cost or changes: "I'll get the Site Manager to call you" — then tell him. Never guess, never commit Gorilla, never discuss another trade or a price.
Every person on site is HazardCo inducted with SWMS uploaded, and every subcontractor is cleared by Contracts Admin first. No clearance, no site access — the Site Manager will push; the answer stays no.
No boots on waterproofing or finished surfaces. No tools, boxes or materials on finished benchtops. Coverings down before work starts and reinstated before leaving. Damage caused through lack of care or protection is back-charged to the trade responsible.
Everything checked before the job begins.
Caught early, fixed cheap — quality held throughout.
Nothing leaves our hands below standard.
Rework reduces margin and damages reputation.
Probation is 6 months for every staff member. All staff are reviewed at:
Measured on KPI compliance, system discipline, cultural & ethical alignment and ownership mindset. Poor performance is addressed quickly.
We promote:
Improve the system, you improve the business. Improve the business, you grow with it.
